LMK is a new digital service that curates, designs and delivers the most authoritative content on any important person, place or thing. At launch, the service has topic-specific pages for more than 2.3 million entities, aggregating and presenting the most current and relevant facts, stories, photos, connections charts, and tweets related to each topic. LMK.com offers a customized e-mail service allowing consumers to receive the most relevant and timely content, from only authoritative sources, delivered how and when they want it.

Evri, a technology company focused on helping people discover and engage with Web content, has partnered with LMK.com (”Let Me Know”) to develop LMK.com as a Web destination that delivers authoritative and up-to-the-minute accurate content on important people, places and things. The new LMK.com provides real-time news culled from only the most authoritative news sites and reputable blogs for each topic that is then filtered for relevancy, timeliness and credibility.
By employing semantic analysis, a process through which content is categorized by its meaning and relationships as opposed to keywordsÑLMK.com is able to provide more pertinent information than a
traditional news aggregator. This procedure allows LMK.com to quickly provide relevant news about nearly any topic without the need to rely on an editorial staff.
“Evri’s natural language processing technology provides LMK.com with a highly effective method of identifying and aggregating pertinent information and content,” says George Kliavkoff, EVP and deputy group head, Hearst Entertainment, the Hearst Corporation group backing LMK.com. “The result is extremely relevant, up-to-the-minute intelligence, cutting through much of the noise common with keyword search results and other Web aggregators.”
College Football and Reality TV were selected as the topic areas for LMK.com’s first two “enhanced channels.” These enhanced channels on LMK.com go a step beyond the standard pages with subject matter experts that curate the content sources and add elements of data art and design. The College Football channel (www.LMK.com/collegefootball) offers real-time news, photos, statistics and more on every Division 1-A team and the top players and coaches.
The Reality TV channel (www.lmk.com/realitytv) offers credible news and information on Reality TV shows, stars, schedules, castings and more. Additional enhanced channels will join these two in 2010 and beyond.
“NCAA football and reality TV were perfect choices for the first LMK.com enhanced channels because of the passion they elicit in fans,” says Will Hunsinger, CEO of Evri. “College football fans are voracious consumers of information about their teams and LMK can provide them with a single destination to find relevant news from the most authoritative sources. Reality television is a powerful force in the media and entertainment landscapes, and viewers are always looking for the reliable inside information LMK.com provides.”
Much of the technology behind LMK.com can also be found on Evri’s own Web site, www.evri.com. Evri’s search capabilities have also been integrated into a number of other sites through the company’s API offerings.
