What’s the difference between this and Firefox/Safari searchable history feature?

Hi Lena,
Thanks for your interest and comment. The differences are,

1. infoaxe offers full text search of the pages in your history (unlike firefox which searches only the title, url and head of the pages).

2. your web history is private to you (protected by a login) and can be accessed from any computer and browser. We support firefox (mac, PC, linux) and IE (win xp)
currently. Vista support is coming soon. So your web history is in sync across multiple computers and browsers.

3. its very easy to share pages with your friends over email, facebook etc.

4. infoaxe lets you pivot around pages in your web memory. For eg. you can see all the pages that you looked at while you were looking at a certain restaurant’s review on yelp. (presumably you looked at a few other related restaurants whose names you don’t remember now)

5. with a convenient button in the infoaxe toolbar, you can toggle it to go ‘off the record’ if you don’t want pages browsed to get added to your web memory.

6. We have a convenient google widget, which allows you to search infoaxe in addition to google when you type a query at google.com. Results from your web memory show up on the right corner of your google search results page which is very convenient.

7. Many of our users tell us that thanks to infoaxe, their search queries have become a lot shorter. For eg. these days to go to say the website of the restaurant Krung Siam in Palo Alto, I no longer need to type “krung siam palo alto” to google. I just type “krung siam”.(That’s a lie, I actually just type “krung” )

7. We support tagging (like del.icio.us).
