Somewhere in the world it’s Friday afternoon, the end of a long, hard week. Time to check out Streamzy, a music and video search engine that is mercifully user friendly to use. Here’s an example that you can use to try it out:

Step 1: Go to Streamzy and search Artist: ABBA Title: Gimmie Type: Both #: 20

Step 2: Click on the fourth result (see image). Play over and over!

Sometimes hard rock just doesn’t cut it. Sometimes you need heavy metal—just can’t get enough of those serious guitar riffs. If you indentify with that, Metalseek might interest you.

At Metalseek.net you will not only find nearly every metal band on the planet, but also all relevant tour dates worldwide, metal festivals, clubs, a “Top 1000″ list of Metal Record companies, and magazines. The site gives you links to all of their bands’ websites and myspace pages if they have one, as well as the record labels that distribute their music, in case you want to find out who they are and try to get them to distribute yours.

Most useful is the tourdates feature, where Metalseek will show you every metal concert happening around the world wherever you want to find it. The problem is, it will give you the date, place, and a map, but purchasing tickets you’ll have to do at another site.

A search for a band will give you the albums they have released in their history, who the record label was, and the songs on each CD. If you’re looking for a concert by that specific band, you can click tourdates again, and get a list of where that band is going to be for the next two months. If you’re a groupie, I guess you can follow them around and try to get backstage passes or something. Or you can just follow them in your car or plane and hope.

Metalseek also has a huge database of metal magazines, giving you the profile and website of each publication. Registration is also an option, and then you can participate in the heavy metal forums and get emails. What else could you ask for? That’s a hard one.
