Eurekster swicki –

Editor’s note:  If you see a bunch of small squares below instead of Chinese characters, your browser probably doesn’t have that language pack installed. Sorry!

When I get to Chicago, I will be meeting with Steven Marder, the CEO of Eurekster (you can see their site search swicki on Read/WriteWeb) to catch up on their lastest developments.  As fortune would have it, I just discovered the Taiwanese blog Mr./Ms. Days (MMDays).  In this article, Mr. Saturday (others are written by Mr. Sunday or Mr. Monday, etc.) introduces the vertical search engine Eurekster to his Taiwanese audience with some analysis.

PC Magazine, in their “Top 100 Undiscovered Sites,” featured one of our finalists for Search Engine of the Year – AfterVote – the Social Search Engine.

This is what they said, “AfterVote is a search aggregator that combines results from the big three search engines (Google, Yahoo!, and MSN) and ranks them for you. Each search results page shows you a particular page’s ranking on each search site, gives you the ability to vote for and rank each result, and offers quick bookmarking functionality. AfterVote also offers “Goodies” such as Firefox plug-ins, desktop searchers, Yahoo! widgets and more.”

Congratulations AfterVote!
