Here’s another update, this time from Barbara Manning of GenieKnows:

GenieKnows.com has launched version 1.1 of its Games search engine. Version 1.1 of the Games search engine offers users a cleaner, more relevant and better focused alternative online destination to find information contained within the Games sector.

“The release of GenieKnowsGames.com’s version 1.1 of our games vertical search is a great achievement in today’s competitive search industry,” said Barbara Manning, president and chief executive officer, GenieKnows.com. “In just a few short months we’ve dramatically improved our Games search technology, allowing users to access a smarter and more focused version of search while avoiding the clutter that appears in other search engine results.”

“The major features of this version 1.1 release include a much larger and refreshed index which has increased the search result coverage and additional blogs and news feeds” said Manning.

Here’s an update from Ran Geva of Omgili:

We just released Omgili Search Aid – a tool that helps the user in formulating a search query. By searching in search queries other users have performed, you find ideas about the correct keywords to use in order to get the best results.

But hey, you say, I have Google Suggest and Yahoo! Search Assist for that, what is the difference? Well there are actually three main differences:

1) Whereas with Google/Yahoo you can easily use their results only with their own search engine, we offer an easy search in Omgili and Google/Yahoo as well.

2) The mentioned services offer maximum 10 results for each search term, where Omgili Search Aid returns every query combination we have ordered by relevancy and popularity.

3) The data in Yahoo and Google is edited whereas with Omgili Search Aid we release it “As is”.

So we hope you enjoy using Omgili Search Aid and I can promise there is more to come.

Cheers,

Ran Geva

Find with Pink donates funds from your searches to several Breast Cancer Charities.

Proclamation:

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) educates women about the importance of early detection for breast cancer. Since NBCAM’s inception, mammography use has doubled, and breast cancer death rates have declined. Still, many women do not utilize mammography at regular intervals. In recognition of the fact that mammography is the best available method of detecting breast changes that may be cancer, long before physical symptoms can be seen or felt, and that breast cancer deaths could decline further if all women age 40 and older received mammograms at regular intervals. NBCAM does hereby proclaim October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Here at AltSearchEngines, we urge all women and their families to get the facts about mammography.
