fansnap-logo-lrgFanSnap, the live event ticket search engine for fans, today announced the launch of the FanSnap WebAp, an iPhone-compatible version of its free to use web site, just in time for the MLB playoffs and the peak of the annual ticketing season.

Fans looking for sports, theater, and concert tickets can now quickly and easily access, via their iPhone or iPod Touch®, millions of tickets from the listings of dozens of leading ticket providers including TicketNetwork, StubHub, RazorGator, Las Vegas Tickets, Gold Coast Tickets, eBay, Barry’s Tickets, AllShows.com, and Ace Ticket.

TN-572626_FanSnapiPhoneWebApp.png“Millions of iPhone and iPod touch owners now have a superfast and easy way to access the hottest event tickets in the U.S.,” said Mike Janes, CEO of FanSnap. “The FanSnap WebApp is particularly useful for spur of the moment ticket buying, business travelers, and vacationing fans.” For example, a search for concerts playing locally, this weekend, for less than $50 a ticket is a snap.

Navigating FanSnap.com on the iPhone can be done with just the touch of a finger to select upcoming events, and sort through ticket listings using the WebApp’s handy filters. FanSnap then provides one-touch calling to the ticket company selling the selected tickets.

The FanSnap WebApp is automatically available to fans accessing www.fansnap.com on their iPhone. No download is required. Creating a FanSnap icon for the iPhone home page is as simple as tapping the “+” while viewing www.FanSnap.com from the iPhone and then clicking “add to home screen.

Fans can use the location-aware FanSnap WebApp to search for local tickets, check out local concert, theater, and sporting events by category, see a list of upcoming events, and save their latest search.

This time of the year is always the busiest of the live event calendar, with so many entertainment choices. In addition to the MLB playoffs, the NFL and NCAA football seasons are in full swing, there are an unprecedented number of concert tours underway, and Broadway fans are already making holiday buying plans.
