Here’s an idea I really have not heard before when it comes to a search engine. That is, search for the free stuff. Of course, there are millions of opportunities to find free stuff floating around the internet. Contests, giveaways, raffles, who knows what. But you can’t find them all in one shot. That’s where Freezly comes in.
It’s a very simple concept. Freezly gathers information from twitter about free stuff flying around, and puts it together for you in a list, filtering out solicitations and annoying side ads. Here’s a simple demonstration of what it can do. I was looking around my desk, seeing what free stuff I could think of, and voila, my sunglasses are sitting on the table. So I typed those in. Here’s what I got:

The first result, with 7 tweets, led me to a contest for free stuff, among them sunglasses. All I had to do was become a fan of some such thing on facebook.
Freezly is a self-funded startup, based in Israel, founded by entrepreneurs Danny Tsechansky and Nadav Har Tzvi. (Even though the latter sounds more Israel than the former, they are equally Israeli.)
Freezly has another option, though. You can sponsor a giveaway and promote it on Freezly. It’s sort of like a paid Google search result, but I’m willing to bet it’s much cheaper. To do so, email them at biz@freezly.com.
Searching for a specific giveaway, of course, is not the only way to do it. You can also view the newest giveaways by clicking the Just In page, or by clicking the Top 10 Giveaways link and see what the best offers are.
These guys are still in beta, so they’re constantly working on improving this little tool. Keep that in mind when you start a giveaway search, and know that improvements are on the way!
