Search engine announced for green flooring products
Greenerflooring.com is helping LEED professionals, architects, designers and builders make the environmental product specification process easier and less expensive. The company has introduced an innovative web based platform that allows users to freely search building products and calculate the USGBC’s LEED points, along with several other industry environmental ratings, 24 hour a day 7 days a week. The online program is provided as a free service to architects, designers, builders and the public.
Greenerflooring supports a manufacturer’s web site by cataloging its green products and providing the 42,000 LEED approved professionals and architectural companies the ability to evaluate each product against the United States Green Building Council’s LEED standards.
The GreenerFlooring platform enables the user to evaluate a product, or group of products against the LEED environmental rating systems and to then generate the documentation necessary for inclusion in the certification process or building project.
“We understand that the design community has great many “green” choices when it comes to green flooring products, however finding the right product that meets the LEED standards is often a challenge. The ever changing LEED standards can be very confusing, increasingly complex and very time consuming to implement, especially when you’re trying to meet the USGBC LEED standards” said Peter Rundle, CEO, GreenerFlooring LLC. “Architects and builders are spending too much time and money looking for the products that qualify for their LEED approved projects. Unfortunately this is costing the industry money and having the effect of discouraging people to participate in the important LEED process. As a company we are committed to simplifying this process through our three step process.
