Leadtail, the online advertising search engine, today announced the launch of its new Web-based service that enables advertisers – including marketers, business owners, and entrepreneurs – to quickly and easily target the appropriate audience for each advertising campaign. Leadtail makes it easy for marketers, business owners, and entrepreneurs to search, compare, and buy online advertising across its growing database of over 1,700 quality publisher sites, blogs, and ad networks. Today’s launch completes Leadtail’s public beta, which commenced in September 2008.

“When I first heard about the Leadtail concept, I couldn’t help but wish the service was available immediately,” says Britta Meyer, a founding member of the Leadtail Network and VP of Marketing at Loomia. “Being in a startup company, I’m operating in an environment where budgets are usually tight, marketing needs are immediate, and expectations are high. Leadtail is designed to make the marketer’s life so much easier: with effective services and the collaborative power of the marketers’ community, it puts the promise of online advertising in the context of Web-based services.”

Leadtail was founded in 2007 by a network of professional marketers on the premise that online advertising is too confusing to navigate, complicated to purchase, and unreliably targeted. Advertisers and marketers are forced to overinvest to reach even a portion of their intended audience. To solve this problem, Leadtail developed an easy to use, searchable database of quality publishers and ad networks, where marketers can search for their audience by keyword, category, location, or demographics. Then, marketers can compare deeply profiled advertising opportunities to better target their media plan and find the right advertising mix for their campaign. Source: Leadtail

Hotel Search Engines Raveable and Hotelicopter. U pick!

rave

Raveable was founded by two ex-Microsoft database guys who believe that finding a great hotel should be easy and somewhat enjoyable. Unfortunately, our own personal travel planning experiences were anything but liberating. Straightforward tasks like finding a hotel for a romantic vacation were anything but straightforward often requiring countless searches across dozens of sites. Using patent-pending technology, Raveable surfaces opinions buried inside of reviews. Opinions are categorized based on the traits that travelers rant and rave about the most. At a glance, a user can see that a hotel has an unfriendly and unhelpful concierge, but a good location, and spacious room with comfortable beds.

We started the company with the simple belief that:

1. In the age of the Internet, finding a hotel for your next trip should be easy, fast and enjoyable.

2. People should not have to sift through countless search results to find a rare but personally important fact.

3. Earning the trust of individual people by providing clear and honest information will always be profitable both personally and monetarily.

rankings_ratings_web_previewBy late 2008, we turned these simple beliefs into a working product. By March 2009, the team had developed exactly what we had hoped for – a system capable of addressing the real and quantifiable customer pain associated with travel planning. The technology behind Raveable is able to automatically find, analyze and organize the millions of travel reviews scattered across the internet.

It is based on a branch of artificial intelligence known as natural language processing (NLP). “We knew there was a big opportunity to improve the travel experience for millions of travelers by focusing on the structure and organization of the data,” said Rafik Robeal co-founder and CTO. “We started Raveable with a simple but powerful idea – write software that can create accurate recommendations reflective of the millions of opinions available on the internet,” Rafik added. Source: Raveable.com

hotel

Hotelicopter is another hotel search engine. We help you decide where to stay for your next trip, and where you can book it for the best available price.

After we search all these sites, we sort the information into a simple, easy to use format so you can quickly find the perfect hotel for your needs. Our location, price and category filters are the best around, and help you instantly narrow down your search results to only display hotels that meet your specific criteria.
