truecar_logoTrueCar is the fresh voice in new car pricing. We bring truth and transparency to the sales process by aggregating data from many different sources to show car buyers and dealers how much people actually paid for a particular car in their geographic area.

We are a data-driven company, processing thousands of real transactions nationwide on a daily basis to generate objective and irrefutable Price Reports. TrueCar is offered online, all free of charge. Our hope is that consumers no longer walk into the dealership only partially informed and fully suspicious. Instead, they show up with our Price Report in hand and know how to strike a fair deal. Dealers offer the same buyers a TrueCar Price Report: car buyers who understand the dealer cost and price structure will know when to stop negotiating and buy with confidence; buyer and seller both get a better deal. logo_startseite_wlwWer Liefert Was? – literally translated “who delivers what?” is a service which allows you to search for manufacturers, service providers, distributors and wholesalers in Germany. The call them self “The Supplier Search Engine in business-to-business”. You can search by Product, Service or company name. The system has kind of a controlled vocabulary which shows suggestions while you type in the search box.

The advanced search allows you the use AND, OR and NOT by typing the words in the corresponding input boxes. The company claims that every month more then 1.5 million search are conducted and their site had over 23 million visits in 2008. This service is available since 75 years. Naturally they started of in printed form before they started their database and later web services.

Once you are on the hit list you can see the classification of the hit (manufacturer, service provider, distributor and wholesaler) and you can click on the hit and see details of the company represented by the hit. By using the “Data of your contact” you can display contact details of the sales of this company. If you want to know more you click on “Company information” to get detailed information about the company. This includes contact details, products and services offered and sometimes even a kind of org chart with the function of this person in the company (a feast for every headhunter which needs to build up a client organization in Germany ;-) .

All results can be printed or exported as PDF. The addresses can be sent to you address book (e.g., MS Outlook). The search order is a kind of mystery to me – I assume there are premium entries which rank higher but you can narrow down by post code, place and supplier type.

Besides their German origin the company offers their services in Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Croatia and Slovakia. The service is not only a great source for purchasing goods but also if you want to get your product or service sold in the covered areas of WLW.
