Omgili Stream – Discuss till you bust!

I’ll come out and say it. I’m a discussion junkie. I usually have 5 tabs from different news sights open on my browser at any given time, and then I need to talk to people about them. Except for celebrity break ups, you can bet I’m interested in discussing. Now I can find those discussions on Omgili Stream.

We covered Omgili last month here. Omgili Stream is different in that it’s a real time flow of discussions going on right now, so you can peep your head in and say something, or find the most up to date discussions. It’s your way to find “subjective information”. Rather than searching for sites and pages, Omgili finds consumer opinions, debates, personal experiences and the like. Most of the experiences have already been described – Find these descriptions through Omgili. They do this by focusing on forums, discussion groups, and mailing lists.

They also combine with normative search to give both the objective and subjective angles on your search – meaning both the link-count and the discussion relevance.

Here is a taste of what you’ll find here. A search for AIG gave me a list of articles and discussions, under which I can see the responses and number of authors of the discussion going on.

Some of the content is even pretty fun. I ran a search for Benjamin Netanyahu, who is supposed to be Israeli’s new Prime Minister, if he can ever put a government together. Being right wing, there are doubts as to whether he will even be invited to the US in July. People discuss this. One guy wrote this:

I found that very sweet, he providing his sleeping bag just like that without even knowing the guy first. Sometimes you can really feel the love in this world.
