Wundrbar is very excited to announce the release of the Wundrbar app for the iPhone. Wundrbar for the iPhone is a quicker, better way to get web content and information, and is now available on iTunes.

Wundrbar is an app for quick search, reference, news, travel, local info, and more. Packed with so much functionality, Wundrbar for the  iPhone is basically a super-app — providing access to tons of different services, all from one place.

The iPhone is all about convenient access to information, but often it’s unnecessarily hard to get what you want. Specifically, when you just want to do a quick search, or get a discreet piece of information, Safari can be a lot more than you need. You shouldn’t have to wait for entire webpages to load, navigate tiny forms, pinch and zoom and swipe, etc. just to get what you’re looking for — especially when you’re on the go. And you shouldn’t have to download individual iPhone apps for every possible search, cluttering your phone with dozens of apps and making it even harder to quickly get the information you want.

Wundrbar for the iPhone solves this problem by giving users quick and easy access to the best of the web, all in a single, streamlined app. You can use Wundrbar to check a flight status, perform travel searches, shop online, do currency conversions, read news, and lots more.

We’ve posted some screenshots and more information on our website and on the iTunes App Store. Wundrbar for the  iPhone is a product of Wundrbar Inc., and shares the same purpose as Wundrbar.com — to give users quicker, easier access to the best of the web.

Wundrbar Inc. also offers a Firefox toolbar, to take the Wundrbar experience with you wherever you go online, and sister site Tripeedo.com, for quicker, faster travel search.

Social search engine OneRiot debuts real time video search!

Hi AltSearchEngines, we’re OneRiot – a social search engine that finds the pulse of the web.

Like other search engines, we keep a running record of the contents of the Internet. However, unlike other search engines, we prioritize that information based on its current popularity with our community. This makes OneRiot’s search results relevant, fresh, friendly, and pulsing with “real-time energy.”

News Flash!

OneRiot, the social search engine that finds the pulse of the web, is unveiling today the world’s first real-time web search for video. Traditional video search often returns out-of-date content because the videos are indexed based on “historical hits” rather than what is hot right now. OneRiot has created the first real-time index of video on the web. Searching for videos on OneRiot returns relevant results that reflect what people are watching, sharing and Twittering about right now.

OneRiot’s search is not limited to certain sites and delivers video results from the entire web including YouTube, Google Video, Hulu, MSNBC, ESPN, MetaCafe, and many others. The search results change throughout the day based on what videos are being watched in real-time making them extremely fresh and relevant.rito2

This launch marks a major milestone for the company pushing OneRiot from Alpha to Beta status with a web design refresh.

“The web pages people care about change every minute of the day and so do the videos that people want to watch,” said Kimbal Musk, CEO of OneRiot. “Our unique approach to search enables users to find the news and videos that are pulsing with real-time energy.”
