Hey Charles!

tripeedo_abt

Just wanted to let you know about some big updates over here at our airfare search site Tripeedo, (http://www.tripeedo.com). We’re adding a bunch of new features that I think your readers will really appreciate. Details can be found on our blog (http://blog.tripeedo.com), andbelow.

We’ll be adding more in the weeks ahead. I’d love to get the word out to your readers, and I welcome any thoughts/feedback you might have.

Thanks!
tripeedologo

Tripeedo, the new website that offers fast, easy flight search, now features…

picture-1 The Simple Search Box - Enter your flight search in a single text box, rather than a complex form. Tripeedo has pioneered this simple, user-friendly interface; it’s a better way to start flight searches.

• NEW: Simultaneous Searching - you can now use Tripeedo to launch a flight search at as many websites as you want, all with just one click. Enter your flight details once, then select as many airfare sites as you want. Tripeedo will open your results in new windows so you can compare them side-by-side. Or, launch them one at a time if you prefer — Tripeedo makes it easy.

• NEW: Recent Searches - Tripeedo now saves your recent searches for you, so you can keep track of the searches you’ve done and relaunch them with a single click.

• NEW: Airlines - Now you can use Tripeedo to search for airfares from the websites of most major U.S. airlines. One frustrating thing about online travel search is that the airlines’ websites feature different (and often better) fares than the major meta-search sites. That’s because airlines only make certain fares available to the big travel sites, while keeping a selection of fares to themselves. With Tripeedo, you can search the airlines’ sites directly, meaning you won’t have to worry about missing those great fares!

picture-2• NEW: More Airfare Providers - Tripeedo originally hooked into just a few major travel sites like Expedia, Kayak, Orbitz, and Travelocity to help you find the lowest possible fares. Today we’re adding more, like Priceline, Farecast, and STA Travel, bringing our total selection of airfare providers to 20 — and we’ll be adding more soon!

• NEW: Widgets and Gadgets - Tripeedo is now available almost anywhere on the web. We’ve created widgets specifically for iGoogle, and also for the widget distribution site Widgetbox. Users can now put Tripeedo on their iGoogle homepages, their blogs, their websites… pretty much anywhere!

youpage_com_logoEveryday, YouPage helps online searchers find UK businesses, services, promotional sales and events…but what next? With YouPage communication does not stop there.

MicroBlogs like Twitter are fast becoming popular and important services for friends, colleagues and businesses to connect. This is achieved by the exchange of short messages similar to SMS texts via the internet. Anyone interested in a particular users MicroBlog can simply opt to receive their messages.

YouPage has just launched a local MicroBlogging service. You can now create MicroBlog messages to keep you friends, coworkers and customers updated with current information that they may find interesting.

What makes YouPage different is that local search and microblogging are now integrated.

To get started simply log in to your YouPage account. If you do not already have an account, create one by signing up. Once logged in you can start creating MicroBlog messages by clicking the Messages link. Then click the New Message link. This will take you to a screen to select the listing you wish to make an entry about.

If you already have a listing it will show by default, otherwise search for one (i.e. searching you ‘youpage’ will show the listing for YouPage Ltd). Click the Create New Message link and enter the short message and optional link. This will then create a new message in your inbox and send the same message to anyone that has opted to receive messages from you. You can edit or delete the message by clicking the ‘Edit’ link next to the message.

To receive other users MicroBlog messages click Follow. Then search for the user you are interested in (i.e. ‘youpage’). Click the Follow link next to their profile to add them to the list of users you wish to receive messages. If you no longer wish to receive messages from a particular user select Following and click remove next to their profile. To see who has opted to receive your messages select Followers.

MicroBlogs are a great way of keeping people up to date with your latest news.

Sincerely,

The YouPage Team
