How LeapFish is Simplifying Search

A few months ago AltSearchEngines wrote a review on LeapFish covering an overview of how the search engine functions and the great features it has. This post will give you a more in-depth look into the new search engine that is making leaps of progress.

Free Domain Name Appraisal
When LeapFish was created five years ago it started out by offering a free domain name appraisal tool that would allow you to see the value of a domain name. Unfortunately five years ago it was unable to handle the quick increase in website traffic. However now the tool has been added back into the search engine!

Perform a domain name search:

See what the value of the domain is worth:

LeapFish will take a number of factors into consideration when appraising a domain name. It looks at Domain Length, Domain Popularity, Domain Links, Domain Exposure, and Domain Traffic. The Domain Name Appraisal Tool will provide a score out of 100. This tool is extremely powerful, especially for those who own a bunch of domain names or people who run a business buying and selling domains.

LeapFish’s Advertising Model
With pay per click advertising requiring a lot of knowledge, time, and money to get traffic to your site, it only makes sense that LeapFish create an advertising model that is simplified for users. LeapFish’s advertising model is simple; you pay a one-time purchase price for that ad slot and a 5% renewal fee each year after. The great thing about this model is that no matter how many people click on your ad, you know that you are only paying one price.

The results are organized is a user friendly manner, so that you can find what you are looking for quickly. The search engine results page has distinct sections for a wide variety of searches. Find News, Shopping, Videos, Images, and Answers all on the same results page.

The concept of not having not having to click is interesting. However due to the fact I am using a cellular air-card and am paying more for bandwidth, this turns into a royal pain in the butt. I do not need nor want videos to start playing just because I mouse over them. I would much rather the traditional method.

Don’t get me started on their over aggressive sales team. A quality product does not need an aggressive hard sell. Any product that requires an aggressive hard sell team to flog it is usually not worth the money.

I never intend to use Leapfish and certainly will not be advertising with them.
