PsychSplash is a personal project that seeks to showcase psychology-related sites.
Although the main audience for this website is professional psychologists and students, I also hope that many consumers will find many useful, good-quality resources from this blog as well.
PsychSplash started in May 2006, with me informally documenting websites that I found during my travels. In 2008, the focus is to more clearly document and categorize the websites and resources I discover so that visitors to the site can easily search and browse in their areas of interest. To make it easy for readers to keep up with the latest entries into the Resource Database, PsychSplash offers subscription via RSS.
While PsychSplash has predominantly been a personal project, it has benefited greatly from the input of readers and visitors to the site. In fact, many of the sites included in the database have been brought to my attention by proud website owners and managers.
In July 2008, Gareth decided to call it a day with PsychSplash to pursue other interests, handing the reins over to the fine folks at Psych Central. PsychSplash is now a proud member of the Psych Central Network and is maintained by the resource editors at Psych Central. We will continue to honor the mission — surfing the web, one psychology site at a time!
