Trapster allows people to notify the Trapster community about police speed traps. By simply reporting a speed trap to the database, others who are about to pass the same speed trap will be notified that a cop may be in the area. Users can be notified by their cell phone, computer, or GPS.
As more and more people report the same speed trap, the credibility of that alert goes up. Every user in the Trapster community also builds credibility by reporting accurate traps.
How It Works
Create an Account: Go to their website via a web browser or mobile phone and sign up. Install Trapster Application (optional): The mobile application allows you to easily report traps on your cell phone. Report a Trap: Reporting a speed trap is as easy as pressing a button on your cell phone or calling a toll free number.
Be Alerted: You can be alerted via the Trapster mobile application, a voice report or SMS text message. If you leave Trapster running on your phone, you can receive audio alerts.
View Alerts: Allows you see the trap on a map or by a textual description using your mobile phone.

By signing into your account on the Trapster website you have access to a number of features. Rate alerts that are reported by the community as “I Agree” or “I Don’t Agree” to help build credibility of the reports.
You may also modify your own notifications by adding, deleting and moving alerts that you have reported. Even if you are not a registered user you can anonymously leave a tip to the Trapster community. For anyone who is worried about where that next cop is hiding behind, the Trapster application is a must.
