Want Cheap Beer? Search Right Here

Lengthy tongue-tying eight-syllable homepages notwithstanding, MidSouthAlcoholicSupply (heretofore abbreviated as MSAS for convenience) has debuted its Happy Hour search tool.

Though far from complete and comprehensive, it’s a good start, especially if you live in Austin, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Memphis, Milwaukee, New Orleans, Phoenix, San Diego, or Washington, DC. If you’ve ever been charged something along the lines of $6 for a pint of OK beer at some bar and then sat there calculating how much of the same stuff you could have bought for the same price at the Beer-Mart Ultrabulk Colossal Superbrew Warehouse (like, 10 pints) while at the same time regretting not opening the brunette at the stool across from you because you’re too depressed over being ripped off, then Happy Hour Search is for you.

Expanding everyday, adding and editing listings, Happy Hour will give you a list of the best deals, all the way down to $1 pints, when each bar is doing its deal. This way, we can all be happy because we don’t have to take the long trip to the Superbrew Warehouse.

Users are invited to add their own listings that they know of, which are then verified by MSAS, whose aim it is to make this a national database of all happy hours in the US. Beyond that, MSAS also has a cheap beer alt, listing stores where you can find beer at or below $2.

The editor uses arts & entertainment listings and bar websites themselves as the main source of information to enter each listing. And for more ASE info on beer and beer prices, check out this post from July.
