So simple you could have thought of it yourself.
Symbaloo is an ancient Greek verb meaning ‘gathering’ ‘assembling’. It perfectly reflects the mission of the company. With Symbaloo, you can now create your own desktop on internet. You will decide which sources and links you will put on your Symbaloo. If you want to access your personalized desktop from another computer, or your computer is having trouble with cookies, you can create your own account.
At this moment, Symbaloo is in it’s beta phase. As one of the first users, your experience, error findings and suggestions are very important for the Symbaloo project! Please take a few minutes to watch their Video: (1:16) Then leave a comment after you try it!

Cute little video. But how is Symbaloo all that different from Pageflakes or Netvibes? These startups shouldn’t be afraid to mention the competition. Dense users need (like moi) need to have things explicitly spelled out for them. Maybe Symbaloo has stunning features that the others lack, but I need that spelled out for me. Also, having a Google box smack in the center of the site makes me think, “Derivative and Google-dependent. Gotta do better than that.” Comfort is fine, but I can get to Google easily enough by myself.
Nice look though.
