Exalead launches i.exalead.com for iPhone users!

Exalead today announced that it has released an optimized version of its popular Web search engine that is specifically designed for use with the Apple iPhone. Available today, Apple iPhone users can simply point their Web browsers to i.exalead.com for instant access to Exalead’s Web search engine.

“People should have the same experience using exalead.com, whether they’re searching the Web from a PC, a Mac or a mobile device like the iPhone,” said François Bourdoncle, cofounder and chief executive officer of Exalead. “With the launch of the iPhone in France and its rapidly growing popularity in the U.S., we saw it as a logical move to optimize the Exalead Web search engine for those iPhone users.”

With its patented navigation technology – Search By Serendipity™ – Exalead offers a unique search experience through easy-to-use, yet sophisticated features. For every query, Exalead automatically offers a list of related terms and categories to help users easily comb through search results. In addition, Exalead provides a thumbnail image for every search result so that users can also search more visually to quickly sort through results.

Exalead’s Web search engine complies with the display specifications of the Apple iPhone screen so that users don’t need to “zoom in” to clearly see search results or scroll horizontally to see the rest of the Web page. The Exalead iPhone-adapted Web search handles online video searches from popular sources like YouTube. When users click on a video search result, the Exalead Web search engine automatically identifies the format to offer a full-screen viewing experience.
