The Answers.com Creative Writing Challenge

This month’s Search Engine of the Month, Answers.com is now accepting original submissions for not one, but two Answers.com Creative Writing Challenges — one for participants over 18 years of age and one for students in grades 6-12.
1st Place
$100 Amazon.com gift certificate plus links to the winner’s blog in the Hall of Fame.
2nd Place
$50 Amazon.com gift certificate plus links to the winner’s blog in the Hall of Fame.
3rd Place
Links to the winner’s blog in the Hall of Fame.
In addition to the regular Challenge and in celebration of the back to school season, they challenge 6-12 grade classes to enter as a team for the chance to win free movie tickets and a listing in their Hall of Fame. Teachers can ask the class to collaborate on a single entry or judge a classroom version of the contest, and send them the winner as the class’s submission.
So, how can you win one of these prizes?
- Be creative.
- Write an original composition using no more than 750 words. Entries may be poetry, prose, fiction, essays or any other form of creatively written expression.
- In your submission, correctly use each of the words or phrases below and hyperlink each one to the corresponding Answers.com entry.
- Please keep it clean. We’re a family-friendly site.
- Post your submission on your blog or website. We must be able to access the entry from a direct link.
- Fill out the entry form so we can judge your work.
- Entries must be submitted no later than October 1, 2007.
