Search Engine For Sale! Gosh! It’s Gnosh!

![]()
It’s a pretty rare event to see an Alternative Search Engine for sale! But that’s the case with gnosh. In Mike’s words,
“It’s been a great run, but we don’t have the time or the resources to keep the site going and continue to develop it. To that end, we’ve listed the site for sale on Mashable’s Web 2.0 Marketplace and had some interest, which is cool. If you missed our listing, here it is.
Serious offers only, please.

Here’s a familiar post from earlier this year.
Yay! Gnosh has been named one of the top 100 alternative search engines for February 2007 by Read/Write Web.
More information about the Sale:
Gnosh is an established meta-search site that has been in development for three years. We have mature code and a good, extendable platform. We currently search over 70 sources including eBay (affiliate search for revenue), Amazon (revenue generator), YouTube, Flickr, blogs and much more.
The site has been featured in eHub, WebProNews, ReadWriteWeb’s top 100 search engines and has been presented at several academic conferences.
The sale will include complete source code, site graphics and database schema. If you want the domain name, that is also available. You also have the option to rebrand and redeploy the site as you see fit.
The site gets great organic search results so monetizing the site should be easy for an experienced developer. We’ve seen very modest income, but we haven’t promoted it much outside academia and organic SEO.
Thank you, Mike
