So many Alt Search Engine Updates have been announced this weekend that we will just summarize them here.  Please go to the search engines and explore the new features!

  bookmach has added a new submission tool for submitting news sites to Digg, Slashdot, Reddit, etc.   bookmach has indexed over 3,000 news aggregation sites, and they’re looking for more – lot’s more! 

  Podzinger has just announced a partnership with Dow Jones to provide their users with multimedia search capabilities.  The Dow Jones site is Factiva .  

  Sproose has just launched a new voting platform interface so that their users can rank their favorite sites.  Users click on the “I like it” icon next to the search result(s) and the Sproose index will refresh; moving that site up in the rankings. 

  Sphere has provide links to several of their new features, so here they are for you to check them out:  Sphere’s FeedFlare, their WordPress Plugin and Related Content Plugin, and finally, their trademarked Document Genome. 

Next is Wize .  Wize is a product research search engine that aggregates and presents expert and user opinions with a ‘Wize Rank’ for ech product. Read/WriteWeb posted a review of Wize not too long ago.  Well, today Wize released their new widget. The Wize widget is a targeted feed of product photos and rankings, designed specifically to increase conversions on product-focused blogs and Web sites. It is especially geared towards bloggers who write about new products.  The widget can be downloaded here.
